About the owner:

Ariel Bullion Ecklund earned a B.F.A. in Art Photography and a M.A. degree in Museum Studies. Following her training, Ariel gained valuable experience working in book and paper conservation, as a freelance photographer, and with a wide range of collections in numerous museums. Ariel is indebted to her mother, Brenda Bullion, a single mother, an artist and a scholar, who first sparked her interest and appreciation in art, architecture and design.

Ariel is also a multidisciplinary artist, represented by Alfa Gallery (Miami), Hawk + Hive (Catskills), Studio Tashtego (Cold Spring, NY), Vessels + Sticks (Toronto). Ariel’s work can be viewed on her website www.arielecklund.com or Instagram @ariel_bullion_ecklund.

The official back story:

In 2010, Ariel Bullion Ecklund purchased Corners Gallery from her previous employers. With much hard work and determination, it took Ariel six years to pay off the loan. Since then, the business has gone through major physical transformation- with the renovation of the existing Corners Gallery location in 2014, as well as the addition of a large exhibition space and small gift shop. Corners Gallery is a vital resource for artists and art lovers in Ithaca and the surrounding areas.
