Liminal space / Taxidermy by Rachel Rohwer
on view: November 13-December 30
artist’s reception: Nov. 13, 3 - 5 pm
Liminal space is a concept that is ever-present in taxidermy. Rachel translates the rituals of scientific preparation and explores the thresholds of traditional taxidermy with skeletal, research, and fluid forms alongside mounted displays. She aims to humanize the craft and focuses on the convergence of science and art in the liminal spaces of taxidermy.
